do you accept submissions for consignment?
mash handmade is always on the lookout for new work. please stop in the store if you are in the kansas city area to determine if your work might be a good fit for our space, or cruise around our website if you’re far away. we have very limited space, and curate items to fit the vibe we have been developing since the inception of mash handmade.
if you are interested in selling your work through mash handmade, please send images of items you think would be appropriate (good quality home accessories, artwork, tchotchkes, etc) to firstname.lastname@example.org. you could also send a link to your website or etsy page, directing us to your products we might be interested in. please do not drop by unexpectedly with samples or photos! we pay careful attention to the products that we decide to carry, and are unable to have a good look-see when you surprise us. be patient, there are two of us who will review your work, we’ll get back to you just as soon as we can!

do you do custom work?
you bet! most of our artists do custom work, and we are fairly confident that we can create whatever your heart desires. want something in a custom colorway? need a custom portrait, necklace, or ornament? embroidered handkerchiefs for your wedding? just ask! if we can’t do it, chances are we know someone that can.
here at mash handmade, we’re big fans of privacy, and we respect yours as much as we expect others to respect ours. any personal information you offer during a visit to our brick and mortar store or for the purpose of an online purchase stays between you and mash handmade llc. if you have any questions regarding our policies, please contact us by email or telephone.
what forms of payment does mash handmade accept?
we accept visa, master card, american express, and discover, or regular account payments all through paypal. you do not have to have a paypal account to purchase from our site.
to bypass this just look below the sign-in area when paypal asks for your account information.
we also accept amazon payments using your amazon account. simply select the “pay with amazon” button at checkout and follow the prompts.
how secure is this shoppe?
mashhandmade.com uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide you with the safest, most secure shopping experience possible. SSL technology uses encryption (scrambles the data) to secure sensitive information, including passwords, and credit card numbers, during your online experience. the checkout process and contact form on our site are secured with SSL technology so your personal information stays safe. you can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom or top of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
mash handmade leverages Amazon and PayPal to accept payments on our behalf. your credit card information is securely sent to to them, and they transact the payment (we then get paid by them). This provides you the safest and most secure shopping experience possible.
while we use industry-standard precautions to safeguard your personal information, we cannot guarantee complete security. 100% complete security does not presently exist anywhere online or offline. so in a word (or 3), it is super-duper secure.
what about shipping and returns?
all online orders will ship within two business days. we ship via USPS within the united states. shipping costs for ground shipments are a $6 flat rate based on the total amount of your order before sales tax (MO only). orders over $125 ship free. (hooray!)
due to the nature of our business, all sales are final. the majority of our items are handmade and therefore either one-of-a-kind or will have slight variations.
risk of loss and delivery damage: while we send every item out of mash handmade, llc straight from our storefront packed with love and care, we realize it is possible for damage to occur in transit. all items purchased are made in agreement to a shipping contract. this basically means that the risk of loss passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier. should your package arrive in a damaged state, please save all packaging and contact the carrier.
