amanda tholen makes up one half of the team at mash handmade. it has been a long standing dream to create a space where the line between art and craft is nonexistent, where objects are functional, and where the mash fans can take a bit of the goodness home, to start exploring their own environments.
amanda went to the milwaukee institute of art and design, where she befriended many of the mash artists. it was there that a theme of locating a sense of home through imagery of family and housing elements was born, a theme that continues in her work today. it makes sense that she's moved on to curate a space filled with delightful, well crafted objects for other people's homes.
